Today is the Saturday before Easter 2020.
I'm sitting with my paints and brushes spread out on my table, working on a little Easter project for my house while watching BBC's Miss Marple. A quaint afternoon in quarantine. As I started finishing up one of the watercolors, I thought it would be so much easier to keep a regular 'quarantine diary' if I narrowed it down to just one or two images with some text every day. I have another more personal diary but every day has a different rhythm and, looking at the diary entries from day 1 of quarantine (which for me was around the first week of March), they're sporadic, some days pages long, others a few sentences, and there are more days 'skipped' than I'd like. And so this: an online running commentary of sorts on life during the Great Plague of 2020.
So today's images: snapshots of the Easter painting project (was asked for some 'Alleluia' decorative designs) and my current studio set-up.
